By default, roofs are set to be auto-generated when a space is completed. DrawHome's AI assisted algorithm creates complex roof shapes without user having to create roofs manually. Before drawing a building, roof style can be selected from available roof styles - Hip, Gable, Slanted, Wrap Around, Flat, or use None if roof generation is not required for your project.
Pro tip: For interior designing, you can use "Dollhouse" mode to work on the interior so the roof and ceiling are not obstructing your view!
By default, DrawHome roofing algorithm generates the most geometrically appropriate roof for your building.
Roof style can also be changed by clicking on any roof, and using the settings for roof.
Pro Tip: Hip/Gable ends can be changed on desktop by hovering over the end and clicking the magic roof icon
Unique Roofs for rooms
Often times a separate roof is needed for one or more rooms.
Eg: A Porch or Shed that is attached to a building can have its own roof style and material.
To achieve this, select the room, and mark the roof as "unique"
You can then change the roof style of that room alone.
